Scam – Sensor CCT6
Dear KME gas user.
Please be advised that non-original sensors of the type CCT6 (ANALOG) – GRAY and the type CCT6-D (DIGITAL) – BLACK have appeared on the market.
Below are the details by which you can distinguish the original sensor from the non-original one.
In a non-original sensor:
- No visible sensor in the gas passage – no gas temperature measurement in the flow.
- Smaller gas passage diameter and smaller vacuum passage diameter.
- Differences in the appearance of the sensor mounting.
- Smaller element that positions the sensor harness connector.
- Lack of the manufacturer’s imprint showing the sensor type, serial number and production batch.
- Another material that does not meet the strength and thermal standards.
KME is not responsible for the operation of the sensor and the entire gas system if a non-original pressure sensor and other components are used.
The effects of using a non-original sensor may be:
- Incorrect operation of the installation, which may lead to engine damage.
- Increased fuel consumption due to imprecise readings of vacuum, gas pressure and temperature parameters.
- Possibility of cracking of the nozzles that may lead to leakage of the gas installation and, as a consequence, a fire.
- The sensor does not meet the legal standards and is not formally admitted to trade.
- Does not meet the requirements of UNECE regulations.
Detailed list of differences (the original KME CCT6 sensor is on the right):
- No visible sensor in the gas passage – no gas temperature measurement in the flow.
- Smaller gas passage diameter and smaller vacuum passage diameter.
- Differences in the appearance of the sensor mounting.
- Smaller element that positions the sensor harness connector.
- Lack of the manufacturer’s imprint showing the sensor type, serial number and production batch.
